Hitech Pulse-Eight driver Amaury Cordeel is coming off the back of a strong home race weekend which brought another points finish in 2024.
So we put him to the test with a different challenge, under pressure from the questions and a would you rather decision.
Here is how the Belgian driver got on.
WEIGHTS OR CARDIO?
“Weights. It’s actually the thing I prefer. Cardio is a bit harder for me of the two.”
WIN HOME OR MONACO GRAND PRIX?
“I think the home grand prix. I think it’s always special to win at home. Also with Spa, even though it’s my home weekend, it’s one of the best tracks in the world, so it would definitely be special.”
UNDERSTEER OR OVERSTEER?
“Depends on the track. But generally, I prefer to have oversteer for sure. It’s easier to manage oversteer than understeer in my opinion. It depends on which track you’re driving but in general, it’s better or easier to manage oversteer than understeer.”
GIVE UP YOUR FAVOURITE MEAL FOR LIFE OR EAT IT EVERY DAY FOR A YEAR?
“There are a lot of other nice things to eat so I think I’d give it up. I don’t actually know what I’d call my favourite meal. Maybe pasta truffle or something like that. I don’t have one favourite in particular but I think I’d give it up because there are a lot of nice things you could have instead.”
HANDS FOR FEET OR FEET FOR HANDS?
“I think feet for hands. I think you wouldn’t be able to grab anything anymore but you could walk with your hands.”
TOO HOT OR TOO COLD?
“Too hot. I like the summer much more than the winter. It’s nicer.”
FIRST OR LAST TO ARRIVE?
“First to arrive. I’m trying to be the first to arrive, but I think it’s the opposite at the moment! But I always prefer to be early than late.”

DRIVE WITH A RACE SUIT THAT’S TOO BIG OR TOO SMALL?
“Too big because otherwise – too big is never an issue but too small can be uncomfortable. It’s better than if it’s too small!”
ROCK OR HIP HOP?
“Hip hop. I also like rock but if I had to choose one, I’d pick hip hop.”
KARAOKE OR DANCE OFF?
“I don’t have singing skills or dance moves, so neither? But if I had to choose, I’d go with a dance off. Dance moves you can improvise, and it can be funny, singing can be worse.”
WIN THE INDY 500 OR THE 24 HOURS OF LE MANS?
“The 24 Hours of Le Mans. I think it’s more special. If you drove the 24 Hours, you’ve driven with a team around you and I think that makes it more special. 24 hours in a race, it would be more special. But either would be nice.”
ABILITY TO TELEPORT OR READ PEOPLE’S MINDS?
“Tough one. I would say teleport because if I could read everybody’s mind, I would be annoyed quite a lot! It’s better that you don’t know.”

OPTION PRIME OR PRIME OPTION?
“Prime option. It depends on which starting position you have and on the guys around you, but my preference is to do prime option because on the option, you can really push at the end and on low fuel, it’s really fun at the end. You do such a long stint on the prime, it’s more constant but when you go onto the option at the end, it’s more fun to push.”
DIVE DOWN THE INSIDE OR SWEEP AROUND THE OUTSIDE?
“It’s always more fun to do it around the outside. I think also, the experience is much nicer around the outside, but it’s much easier on the inside. Outside is more nice but inside is easier to do.”
WIN FROM POLE OR WIN FROM LAST ON THE GRID?
“Tough one because you always want to have pole and the win, but I think it would be more special to win from last and go to first. Then the achievement feels in a way much bigger than if you did it from pole because you just have to keep it in P1, otherwise you’re faster and you drive to the win. So last to first.”
